Bristol 金融援助, in association with the Educational Opportunity Center, hosts a series of workshops to help you complete the Free Application for 联邦 Student 援助(FAFSA). At these workshops, you will receive guidance on gathering the information needed and with completing the FAFSA online.

Support Services

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) has been a partner of Bristol's Financial Aid Office since 2000, offering free college planning services to students and their 家庭. *Once the form is filled out, EOC will contact you for an appointment in your format of choice (in person, virtual, or phone).

Information you should bring:

  • Your (the student) information
  • If you are a dependent student, your parent information
  • If you are married, your spouse information

Parent information is not needed if:

  • You are married
  • You are a veteran or serving in the armed services
  • Both your parents are deceased
  • You have a child and you provide more than 50% of their support
  • You are in foster care or have been a ward of the court at any time since you turned 13岁
  • You are in the custody of a legally appointed guardian
  • You have dependents other than a child and provide more than 50% of their support
  • You are a legally emancipated minor (must have court documents)

Tax and Income Information:

  • W-2 形式 (学生, parent, spouse)
  • Signed and filed federal tax return Form 1040 (学生, parent, spouse)
  • Verification of any other income received – Unemployment, SSI, SSDI, TANF, etc.  (学生, parent, spouse)
  • Current savings and checking account amounts (学生, parent, spouse)
  • Asset information (学生, parent, spouse)
  • FSA ID - this is your username and password that you create at www.fafsa.ed.政府. It is how you will electronically sign the FAFSA, and how you will access all 联邦 Student Aid websites. 
  • 请注意: If you are a dependent applicant, your parent will also need his/her own FSA ID.
